HAY, it’s that time yet again, I can just about smell the apple butter boiling and hear the sounds of cloggers…. I’m talking about the Graves Mountain Apple Harvest Festival. Locals know that once we round the bend toward fall it means apples, crafts, funnel cakes, Hay-rides through the orchard, HAY-Mountain and the challenging Hay-Maze.
This year marks the 42nd annual event and the start of something new with the festival running for three consecutive weekends instead of just two. This gives everyone more opportunities to make it out, at least once.
This festival is completely free to everyone. Of course you will want to bring plenty of cash for food, over 70 arts and crafts vendors (think Christmas presents) and tickets for the Hay Ride, Hay Mountain and Hay Maze.
